Helping With Art

I decided to start this little fun project, and thought you guys might find it interesting, as well. First, a backstory


The other day while I was at camp, the pastor speaking to the kids asked if there was a camp leader who could draw. Many people pointed their fingers at me and I was called up to help draw something for a demonstration. Later on in the week, on the last full day of camp, that pastor mentioned me in a sermon, saying God had a plan for me and my drawing skills. Well, that got me to thinking: what could I do with my drawing skills? 

There was a woman at our church who's been going through a hard time- her grandson was beating her, his girlfriend drained her bank card, and now we are the closest thing she has to a family as she is now temporarily living in a nursing home. I drew her a picture of a kitten since she felt upset leaving her cats. Doing this for her made her so happy and gave me an idea...


The idea?

Well, it's a simple thing. Go to a nursing home or a hospital- anywhere you can think of where there might be people that need some cheering up. Sit with them, talk with them, and draw them a picture. 

That is just what I am going to do tomorrow, actually- I am going to the nursing home to draw pictures for the residents. A small kind act like that can make someone's day, really- I'm sure some of you know of this warm feeling that can be received when someone draws some art for you here on deviantArt, right?
